Initiatives under CSR Projects on Digital Literacy and Awareness mobilization

  • McAfee has supported for digital literacy training to 14,000 Students across five states namely Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.

  • PayPal training partner has also support for the digital literacy training across 3 states in which 7,000 Students certified under the scheme. PayPal has also provided 5 mobile vans for training under PMGDISHA, one of the prime Government of India digital literacy program.

  • IndusInd bank is a technology platform supports multi-channel delivery capabilities. The bank is a leading provider of commercial, transactional and electronic banking products and services and caters to the needs of both consumer and corporate customers. They have trained 1,00,000 Students under the scheme. Sponsored 3 Lakh Students

  • Mahindra Rural Housing Finance also supported CSC Academy, by providing support for deploying three mobile vans through which Digital Literacy programmes would be delivered in far flung areas of the country. Vans visit Gram Panchayats (GPs) in the District, covering one GP in one day.

  • Stree Swabhiman: Stree Swabhiman Project was conceptualized to create avenues for the rural and semi-urban women to become self-reliant and progress towards a healthy eco-friendly lifestyle. CSC’s initiatives like MMUs for Sanitary Napkin Pads have received huge response among women.

  • 5C Tarang (UNICEF): The purpose of 5C Tarang programme is enhancing community outreach and sessions with specific stakeholders on the six thematic areas in selected aspirational districts through the CSC network. The six themes are as follows:

    • Anaemia Prevention
    • Child Marriage
    • Routine Immunization
    • Out of School Children
    • Overall Nutrition
    • Use of Toilet/ ODF

    Enable 105 Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLE) to become agents of social change in their community and impact at least 15,750 citizens in Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal.

  • DigitalBeti (FACEBOOK): Facilitate citizens to register for Facebook through 5,000 identified CSCs. Train 2, 50,000 rural citizens on program related to digital literacy, including use of social media Facebook and digital marketing skills. States covered: Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh.

  • Capgemini: Capgemini is supporting CSC Academy for Digital as well as English Literacy to train 1.40 Lakh candidates in 11 cities namely Delhi-NCR,Bangalore,Hyderabad,Salem,Trichy,Chennai,Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar over a period 3 years.

  • Learning Links foundation and Vodafone: Learning Links foundation is involved as a partner under the Digital Literacy program of CSC Academy.
    LLF has provided support for deploying mobile vans through which Digital Literacy programmes are delivering in upcountry areas of the 7 states in India - Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The mobile van Campaign intends to cover the people among rural and urban areas to make them digitally and financial literate in assigned districts where it running in their local areas.

  • During Covid-19 period CSC Academy in association with Learning links foundation and Vodafone provided 3000 COVID-19 Emergency relief ration kits to 6 VLE society in Pune, Raichur, Rajsamand, Kheda, Nalanda and Jaunpur of which 500 kits have been distributed in each district to the poor and needy people in their respective areas. The ration kits included grocery items and other essential commodities. Targeted people: Daily wageslabors, homeless, Landless, maids, Rickshaw pullers etc.

  • IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company: Today, CSC Academy is delivering services in Education, Skills and Entrepreneurship Development programme in rural India to citizens, changing the way they learn, communicate, and manage their livelihoods. These individuals will be working towards the financial inclusion mission and reach the unreached segment.
    IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company is a life insurance company in India. CSC Academy and IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company bring together an insurance awareness program.
    The main motive of this activity is to promote insurance awareness through CSCs at the grass root level among consumers within the ambit of VLEs reach across 20 bigger states of India. For this awareness program focused and sustained dedicated persons will be required. In this way the program will also generate employment opportunities for rural youth in their locality.

  • Bhu-Kaushal (Esri India Technologies Private Limited): CSC Academy has been associated with Esri India Technologies Private Limited to provide training to 10,000 or more women from 16 to 40 Years of age through CSC Academy Centres from rural India on Geographic information systems (GIS). GIS technologies are being currently used in various government programmes and these GIS skills will help to increase the employability of local youth for such programs.
    This program will help to empower women with digitally delivered educational training courses leading to livelihood enhancement.

  • PayU has supported 3 Mobile Vans in Delhi/Gurgaon, Mumbai & Bengaluru to provide financial literacy, digital literacy and other citizen centric services for the target beneficiaries which includes rural citizens , SC, ST, BPL candidates, differently abled as well as women beneficiaries. The project duration is 1st June 2023 to 31st March 2024
